Guests will learn more about The REAL Program on tours of the Payne Literacy House, and while trying their hand at REAL activities. Light lunch fare & refreshments will be served.

Here is some of what we have accomplished in our 10 years, as of August 1, 2023...

The REAL Program has:
  • Collected and distributed nearly 300,000 free children’s books throughout greater Lynn
  • Built 130 REAL Little Free Libraries where children can take free books throughout the city
  • Given academic and supplementary support to over 1000 children
  • Provided English classes for over 100 parents/grandparents/uncles and other adults[c]
  • Established a permanent home at 17 Atlantic Street in Lynn
  • Worked collaboratively with nearly 50 community organizations
  • Volunteered countless hours by retired teachers, high school/college students who understand the need for literacy
  • Achieved MA EEC licensure of our Before Home Program
